CEO Selected as a Judge for CUBE Innovators Invitational

The Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship (CUBE) invited New York area law school students to compete in its 8th annual Stanley M. Grossman Innovators Invitational to help launch legal tech ventures. Teams that were invited to participate had the opportunity to pitch their startup ideas to a panel of seasoned industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Our CEO Sonya Smith-Valentine was selected to join a panel of judges to evaluate the proposals put forth by this year’s nine competing teams.

“I am thrilled to serve as a judge for this year’s CUBE Innovators Invitational,” said Sonya. “As a former practicing attorney, I am committed to advancing innovative legal programs such as the CUBE Innovators Invitational, to not only meaningfully engage law students in forward-thinking and technology-driven industries, but to also help launch new business development prospects and opportunities across the legal industry.”

CUBE offers global opportunities for students to work with businesses, startups, and social entrepreneurs; consultation sessions with small businesses; networking events that give students an edge in their career paths; and programs such as the CUBE Innovators Invitational. Its three core functions are to train lawyers to represent entrepreneurs and startups, fuel economic growth and development in Brooklyn, New York and innovate legal education for the 21st century
